Paper Mache Kar-i-Kalamdani

Recycled paper pulp is moulded, sun-dried, and burnished into boxes, vases, and ornaments. The magic is the painting: master artisans spend weeks with a single-haired brush, layering miniature florals, chinar leaves , gul-i-vilayat, and scene work in mineral pigments and delicate gold.
